SWIM 21 RE-ACCREDITATION

 

On Sunday 7th February Winsford Swimming Club was presented once again with the Swim 21 Competitive Training award for maintaining a consistently high level of competitive training and coaching.

 

Cllr Short and Chris Cook from Cheshire West attended the presentation, which was made on behalf of the ASA by Matt McFahn and Ann Burgess from Swim Northwest.

 

Many thanks to Denise, Barry, Amanda, Dave & Mark for their hard work and time spent preparing for the re-accreditation, and to Lifestyle Centre manager Julie Kirkham for her help and support.

 

COSACSS VALENTINE MEET SUCCESS – Well done to everyone who took part in the sprint meet at Fenton. Congratulations to medal winners Jenna Bewsher, Adam Blackshaw, Sophie Broome, Emily Ion, Emily Manley, Chris Sorensen, Oliver Sorensen and Kate Young. See Results page for full report.

SWIM 21 REWARD DAY

 

On Saturday 6th Feb Craig Dendy and Poppy Howe took part in a special training session at the Lifestyle Centre which was given to the club by Swim Northwest in recognition of the hard work undertaken to achieve the Swim 21 re-accreditation.

 

The session was attended by swimmers from across the region and special guest British International Swimmer Chris Cook who was the Commonwealth gold medallist for 100m breaststroke and who also made the Beijing Olympic final.

 

Both Poppy and Craig got a lot out of the session and had a really fantastic time

 

 

DON’T FORGET – Meet entries for the Chester Diddy due in on the 19th March and Satellite Open, NWR Youth, Wrexham Spring and Sports Aid Meets entries all due on the 24th March.
